Nancy Friedman

Recipient of HSMAI’s 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award, Nancy founded NJFPR in 1987, following a formative career in travel, entertainment and destination public relations. A self-described media junkie with wanderlust, Nancy has been able to marry her passions of travel and media; the foundation of the agency.

She is integrally involved with all agency clients and retains an active, hands-on approach from the creation of customized plans to program execution. Nancy’s expertise lies in the creation of unique marketing programs that ensure outstanding and often award-winning results.

Prior to founding her own agency, Nancy was the in-house pr director for entertainment impresarios and hoteliers Ian Schrager and the late Steve Rubell. She was Director of PR for the Dominican Tourist Information Center, the European Travel Commission, worked at Jessica Dee Communications and Travel + Leisure magazine.

She prides herself on the agency’s commitment to results, longevity of clients, training PR stars, having launched or represented hundreds of hotels, enhancing her clients’ success and ensuring integrity in everything we do.

Nancy is an active member of the Society of American Travel Writers, and is a passionate traveler, hotel geek, tennis player, skier, cyclist, foodie and mother of Emily and Michael.
