Nancy J. Friedman founded Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations in 1987, following a formative career in travel, entertainment, and destination public relations.
Formerly the director of public relations for the Dominican Tourist Information Center and the European Travel Commission, Nancy has also worked at Travel + Leisure magazine and Jessica Dee Communications. She served as in-house public relations counsel for hoteliers Ian Schrager and the late Steve Rubell at the launch of their hotel company in 1984.
Nancy is integrally involved with all agency clients, and she retains an active, hands-on approach in everything from the creation of strategic plans and programs to campaign execution. The creativity and effectiveness of her work have been recognized both by clients and colleagues.
Nancy has been the Chairman of the Friends Committee of the American Cancer Society's New York City chapter, and she is also a member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Eastern Ski Writers Association, and the Caribbean Tourism Organization. She is a passionate skier, tennis player, foodie, and mother of Emily and Michael.
