In 2007, The St. Lucia Tourist Board will enter its fifth successful year with NJFPR. During this time, the agency has increased visibility and visitation to this lush Caribbean island, known for its breathtaking landscape, unique and varied hotel properties, eco-friendly activities, and the annual St. Lucia Jazz festival.
Through strategic outreach to consumer and travel trade media, organized press events, individual and group media trips, and the development and distribution of well-timed news releases, NJFPR has secured coverage for the island in a wide variety of leading publications, including Condé Nast Traveler, The Washington Post, New York magazine, Outside, Modern Bride, The New Yorker, Food Network, USA Today, The New York Times and a cover story in Travel Agent Magazine. Thanks in part to NJFPR's continuing efforts to encourage tourism, arrivals to the island increased steadily; St. Lucia was also rated the fifth best honeymoon destination in the world in a survey conducted by Modern Bride magazine and will be featured on the Food Network's Paula Deen Family Vacation Show.
