Julie Freeman Named One of PR News’ Top Women in PR

December 5, 2017

PR News unveiled this year’s list of the Top Women in PR, and our very own Julie Freeman, Managing Director, NJF and EVP, MMGY Global is one of the recipients of this prized honor.

PR News’ Top Women in PR list is comprised of women who have made bold advances in managing crises, developing brand messages, protecting and building brand reputations and creating content for digital platforms for their own organizations or for clients.

Julie received this honor alongside some of the most outstanding and distinguished women in PR. Julie leads the development of programs that are disruptive and reflect a true partnership with her clients. Challenging her teams to think beyond the impressions and “likes,” Julie is the chief storyteller and cultural officer at a growing enterprise that has tripled in size over the past year.

Julie led the integration of NJF, the company’s PR, social and experiential marketing division in New York City, Kansas City and Los Angeles as her team grew from 20 to more than 70. Her focus has included preserving client relationships, retaining employees, sharing best practices, creating efficiencies and injecting optimism and possibility into a new work reality for her staff. The result of this vision included major wins for the newly integrated teams, including becoming the AOR for the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation and continuing to build the company’s global portfolio with new business opportunities.

“Julie’s background has been the perfect foundation for our organization as we experience significant organic and acquired growth in New York City. The lessons she learned as a leader of Edelman’s global travel practice, her bilingual skills and her meticulous attention to detail make her an invaluable part of our success.” – Clayton Reid, CEO, MMGY Global

“Julie is a true top PR professional. She is particularly focused on providing strategic support and customer care. I have known her for 17 years as a colleague and client. Her business acumen is admirable, but her personal skill is what makes her stand out as a unique individual in the tourism industry.” – Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director, Los Cabos Tourism Board

These women will be celebrated for their creativity and accomplishments in communications during the Top Women in PR Awards Luncheon on January 23, 2018, at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
