The inspiration behind many of the world’s most lauded property and lifestyle product stories. Nancy and her team have launched more than 70 hotels in New York City alone. From her early ascent to the head of PR for Ian Schrager & Steve Rubell, to her current post as a Principal in MMGY Global, helping to steer one of the industry’s most talented PR teams, Nancy’s rare combination of grace and tenacity have led to countless industry firsts. Today, she is the “go-to” PR counsel to some of the most innovative leaders in hospitality and tour de force behind Hotel Week NYC™. Recognized for its long-lasting relationships, NJF’s relentless focus on results is driven by Nancy’s signature “no stone unturned” philosophy, a value-driven, think-to-the-next-opportunity approach that creates demonstrable ROI and continues to set the agency apart. A respected industry “voice,” Nancy is invited to sit at industry roundtables and is an active member of the Society of American Travel Writers. A passionate traveler, hotel geek, tennis player, skier, cyclist, foodie – and always a media junkie at heart – she is most proudly the mother of Emily and Michael.
Julie leads the agency’s worldwide public relations, social & experiential marketing practice and New York City office. She is responsible for all strategy, implementation and new business development, as well as the integration of PR initiatives into the company’s overall marketing support for its clients. Julie has strong, in-depth experience in building brands through media relations and public engagement at the local, national and international levels, developing strategic partnerships and special events. She was previously with Edelman and served as an Executive Vice President and Deputy Global Director for the firm’s Travel & Hospitality practice, overseeing the development and implementation of consumer brand, lifestyle and tourism programs and helping to build the firm’s global tourism offering. Julie graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California with bachelor of arts degrees in Public Relations and Spanish. She has extensive experience working with international destinations and brands and is fluent in Spanish. Always looking for a new adventure, Julie enjoys traveling, playing tennis, spending time at the beach, skiing and hanging out with her Pug.
Lauren is a dedicated, self-starting executive with more than 20 years of travel and hospitality public relations experience, ranging from destination marketing to hotels and resorts, luxury cruises, spas, airlines, tour operators and e-commerce ventures. A keen adviser of marketing strategies and the best ways to leverage brands, Lauren helps lead the agency’s day-to-day operations, staff development and new business initiatives. She was previously a senior vice president at Spring O’Brien, where she was a powerful asset to her clients, shaping the department’s best practices for effective strategies, sharp writing, promotions, partnerships and special events. Lauren is an excellent writer with a creative flair for the “big idea.” Her work earned the agency three consecutive Platinum Hospitality Sales Marketing Association International (HSMAI) awards. A Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude B.A. graduate of Binghamton University, Lauren has traveled to over 55 countries, inspiring her own travel stories, which have appeared in the Bergen Record, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Jewish Exponent and other publications. When she is not collecting passport stamps, she enjoys practicing yoga, taking art classes, museum hopping and eating her way through her beloved New York City.
Shea leads NJF’s social media and experiential marketing practices, driving social media strategy and engaging experiential campaigns. Her award-winning work includes Lufthansa USA’s #UpgradeChicago campaign and Taste of America Food Truck Tour, Marriott’s Passport to Paradise influencer campaign, The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel Find Your Island Challenge and Terranea Resort’s Klout Perk. Shea’s additional client experience includes Princess Cruises, Zurich Tourism, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Visit Santa Barbara, and New Mexico Tourism Department.
